Review Of Lewisham's Special Educational Needs And Disability Information, Advice And Support Service (SENDIASS)

Closed 3 Jan 2020

Opened 18 Nov 2019

Overview

Lewisham Council has a duty to provide a free, confidential and impartial Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) for parents/carers and young people aged 16 to 25 years with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), on all matters relating to SEND.

The service is required to be reviewed by Lewisham Council at the end of next year. When we review services such as SENDIASS, we are thinking about what improvements can be made to our service and the experience for parent/carer and young people with SEND.

We would like to hear from parents/carers who have used SENDIASS and received information, advice and support. We would also welcome views from parents/carers who have not used SENDIASS, particularly if they have experienced difficulties accessing the service or have concerns about the current offer.

This online survey has been extended until 3rd January 2020.

A paper based version is also available upon request by emailing Cheriece.Nelson@lewisham.gov.uk.

We plan to hold a consultation event during spring 2020 - if you would like to be invited to this, please provide us with your details at the end of the survey and we will contact you nearer the date.
