Lewisham's Discretionary Freedom Pass Scheme
Overview
Like all local authorities, Lewisham needs to continue making significant cuts in its spending due to reductions in central government funding. As a result, we have taken the difficult decision to end our Discretionary Freedom Pass scheme.
We are aware that the decision to end the scheme will have an impact on some of our more vulnerable residents. We are therefore asking all current Discretionary Freedom Pass holders for their views and opinions on how we implement this decision, so that we can try to minimise the impact on them as far as possible. We also want to hear from their relatives, carers and friends as well as other local residents.
More information about Discretionary Freedom Passes and our decision to end the scheme can be found in the first section of the consultation.
