Draft Lewisham 2026 Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment
Overview
All Health and Wellbeing Boards must produce an assessment of local pharmaceutical services, at least every three years. The Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) reports on the need for and provision of pharmacy services in a local area. It is used by NHS England to make decisions about applications to open new pharmacies or to change their location.
Lewisham is consulting on its draft PNA for 2026-29 and would like to hear your views. The draft report assesses the need for pharmaceutical services in Lewisham and what the needs are likely to be over the next three years. It has been produced by looking at the health needs of the population, current pharmacy provision and stakeholder engagement with both service users and those who provide pharmacy services.
