The Council is consulting local community groups and residents on a proposal for the adoption of a new Conservation Area focused on Lewisham Park, the Memorial Gardens and the Victorian and Edwardian houses on the southern and eastern sides. Bredgar, Malling and Kemsley are included in the area.

Why We Are Consulting

The Council is seeking thoughts and opinions on  the principle of the adoption of the area as a conservation area, on the contents of the Conservation Area Appraisal, and on the proposed Article 4 Direction.

A report detailing the results of the consultation, accompanied by the conservation area appraisal and draft Article 4 Direction (revised as necessary) will be taken to Mayor and Cabinet in Summer 2019.
